The Pathfinders: Fours Room (Age 4)

Welcome to The Pathfinders Room

In our four-year-old classroom, known as The Pathfinders, we focus on laying the foundation for Kindergarten and beyond. This is a time of tremendous growth and readiness, and we are here to guide your child as they take confident steps toward their academic and spiritual journey.

What to Expect in The Pathfinders Room

Kindergarten Preparation

We use the Abeka K4 curriculum to introduce academic concepts in a way that is both structured and fun. Our program prepares children for success in school and life by building confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

Children Learn:

  • Phonics-based reading readiness

  • Number recognition, patterns, and simple math

  • Writing letters and early word formation

  • Science, social studies, and integrated Bible lessons

Daily Highlights

  • Circle time and calendar routines

  • Hands-on learning centers

  • Story time, worship, and Scripture memory

  • Art, music, and outdoor play

Character Development

In addition to academic skills, we focus on helping children grow in kindness, responsibility, and self-control. Our classroom culture encourages:

  • Listening and communication

  • Teamwork and friendship

  • Respect for others

Encouraging Independence

Four-year-olds are developing strong preferences and independence. We help nurture that growth with activities that encourage:

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking

  • Classroom jobs and routines

  • Ownership of belongings and work
